Tindfjallajökull

Tindfjallajökull is one of several glaciers located along Iceland's south coast. This particular view shows it from the northeast, overlooking a portion of the southern highlands. While the glacier may not seem impressive at first glance, it actually forms part of a 5 km-wide caldera that experienced a massive explosive eruption around 54,000 years ago.
