Hraun í Öxnadal
Hraun in Öxnadal, located in the northern part of Iceland, is a deserted farm with a rich history. It is the birthplace of Jónas Hallgrímsson (1807-1845), one of the most esteemed poets in the country. The farm has now been turned into a cultural center in honor of Jónas.
