The evening sun casts a red colour on the tops of Dyrfjöll. The mountains were named after a mountain pass which is located between them and is called Dyr. The mountain pass is in 856 meters height.

Kvöldsólin slær rauðum bjarma á toppa Dyrfjalla. Fjöllin bera nafn af klettaskarði sem er í fjallgarðinum og kallast það Dyr og eru þær í 856 metra hæð.
